Tuning fork

This tuning fork resonates at 432hz, a frequency said to resonate with the body and mind, promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being. To sound the fork, strike it gently as it sits in its base, or lift out to strike gently on a hard surface.

The wooden base is hand-turned for Tines by Dublin-based woodturner Jack Smith. The wood is raw, untreated beech, taken from Jack’s garden. Each base shows the unique grain and pattern of the wood from which it is made.

Jack Smith

Jack Smith is a self-taught woodturner based in Dublin, Ireland. In addition to his work as a craftsman, he teaches woodturning at The Yard, a social enterprise under the Solas Project, where he imparts his skills to young people.
